Peek-a-Boo Valentine’s Favor Box Designed By: Jill Yamada-Murota January 2011 Valentine’s Day is the second biggest ‘holiday’ of the year, and people love giving and receiving chocolates or other little candies. This cute box will hold a few of your favorite candies that can be given away on this special day.

Instructions Step 1 Cut a piece of Basic Black card stock to 6-¾” x 9”. On the 9” side, score at 1-1/8”, 3-3/8”, 5-5/8” and 7-7/8”. On the 6-¾” side, score at 2-¼” and 4-½”.

Step 1 Step 2 Make slits on the 2-¼” and 4-½” score lines, as indicated in red, below.

Step 2 Step 3 On the 6-¾” side of the paper, place your paper at the 1-¾” line on your Paper Cutter and cut from the edge of the paper to the slit just made. Move your blade down to the next square, until you reach the 2nd slit, and cut the rest of the way down.

Now, you should have something that looks like this (card stock is shown in white so the lines are visible):

Step 4 Step 5 Bring up the inner two flaps to make a box; remove the backing from the Sticky Strip and adhere the two sides together.

Step 6 Taper off edges on all four sides:

Step 6 Step 7 Turn project over, and adhere Sticky Strip on the tabs as shown.

Step 8 Remove Sticky Strip backing, and bring in flaps to create the box top.

Step 9 Cut five 2” x 2” squares using the Love Patterns Designer Series Paper (DSP). Cut three of the squares in half.

Step 10 Using SNAIL adhesive, adhere the pieces of DSP to the outside of the box.

Step 10 Step 11 Using a Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad, stamp the image from the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set, four times onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. Punch out the heart images, using the Heart to Heart punch

Step 12 Place Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back sides of the heart pieces, and adhere to the box.

Step 13 Rub the heart balloon image from the Love Impressions Rub-Ons collection, onto a scrap piece of Pretty in Pink card stock and punch out using the 1-¾” Circle punch.

Step 14 Punch out one scallop circle from a scrap piece of Basic Black card stock, using the 2-3/8” Extra-Large Scallop punch, then draw in hearts on the scalloped edge, using the Uni-ball Signo Gel Pen. www.CraftProjectCentral.com Email:[email protected] Artwork © Stampin’ Up!

Step 15 Adhere your Pretty in Pink image onto the scallop circle, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Step 16 Adhere two pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals to the top of the box, and place your scallop circle piece on top.
