Configure POS hardware Note: Steps on how to set up and configure your POS hardware devices such as barcode scanner, POS receipt printer, and POS cash drawer are not provided in this user guide. Refer to the individual manufacturer’s installation guide.
After installing the hardware devices, ensure that the POS devices work by using the Check Health utility usually provided by the manufacturer. 1. Download and install the OPOS driver for each hardware device. Usually the instructions and OPOS driver file can be downloaded from the manufacturer’s website. 2. Enable the barcode scanner to be OPOS ready. Most of the time, the barcode scanner is defaulted in keyboard wedge interface (emulating the keyboard). Note that iconnect360 works fully on OPOS interface (either USB OPOS or RS-232 OPOS). 3. Set up the Logical Device Name for each hardware device so that it can be selected on iconnect360.
